Advisorbox abides by a code of ethical principals and 8 different company policies. All Advisorbox employees agree to abide by and to not violate company ethics and policies when dealing with coworkers, professional peers, contractors, clients, leads, vendors and candidates.
All Advisorbox executives, managers and mentors are expected and required to maintain ethical behavior and embrace the company's guiding ethical principals and be a living example of these principals. Each Manager at Advisorbox agrees to embrace and follow these ethical principals.
The Ethical Principles Are:
Judgment – I will do my best to exercise good judgment in my decisions and actions. I will shrewdly assess situations and circumstances in order to draw sound conclusions and actions accordingly. If at anytime I am not sure of my judgment concerning a situation I will seek out the insight of my supervisor.
Integrity – I will be honest, fair, impartial and unbiased in my dealings both with and on behalf of the employees and clients and vendors I may come in contact with. I will live up to Advisorbox's ethical principles, even when confronted by professional, financial and social risks.
Excellence – I will perform my duties to foster a culture of excellence and high quality in everything I do.
Accountability – I will live up to this trust through doing the right thing in every company situation and being a good steward of the company's human, intellectual, physical and fiscal resources given to my care.
Respect – I recognize the inherent dignity and rights of every person, and I will do my utmost to fulfill my resulting responsibility to treat each person with fairness, compassion and decency.
Honesty – I will not say things that are false. I will never deliberately mislead. I will be as candid as possible, openly and freely sharing information, as appropriate to the confidentiality of the relationship.
Promise Keeping – I will go to great lengths to keep my commitments. I will diligently make the effort to not make promises that can't be kept and I will not make promises on behalf of the Company unless I have the authority to do so.
Fairness – I will follow a process and achieve outcomes that a reasonable person would call just, evenhanded and non-arbitrary.
Respect for Others – I will be open and direct in my communication, and receptive to positive influence. I will honor and value the abilities and contributions of others, embracing the responsibility and accountability for my actions in this regard.
Compassion – I will maintain an awareness of the needs of others and act to meet those needs whenever possible. I will also minimize harm whenever possible. I will act in ways that are consistent with the company's commitment to social responsibility.
Professional Representation – I will at all times provide a professional representation of myself and company to all employees and clients. I will not use profanity, tell tasteless or dirty jokes, work while impaired in any way, or represent myself in any way to an employee or client that would cause shame or embarrassment to Advisorbox or represent Advisorbox in an unprofessional way.
Advisorbox is committed to a workplace free from unlawful discrimination, which includes harassment based a person's race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law. Harassment occurs, contrary to this policy, when an employee is subjected to offensive treatment based upon his or her protected characteristic. Any form of prohibited harassment is wrong and will not be tolerated. Harassment can occur in the course of written or oral communications of any kind, or physical touching. Offensive conduct of any kind directed at a person because of his or her protected characteristics will not be tolerated.
Sexual harassment is one form of harassment that is forbidden by this policy. Sexual harassment occurs when unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct are present and if (1) submission to that conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an employee's employment, (2) submission to or rejection of that conduct by an employee is used as the basis for employment decisions affecting that employee, or (3) that conduct has the purpose or effect of substantially interfering with an employee's work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment.
Employees who believe they have been subjected to harassment, or have observed such behavior concerning another employee, even if it is not directed at them personally, must immediately report the conduct directly to the CEO.
Reports of harassment will be investigated promptly, and appropriate action will be taken if forbidden harassment has been found to exist. Anyone who has been found to have participated in improper harassment will be disciplined, up to and including discharge. Because of the need to investigate reports, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Nevertheless, no one who reports harassment will suffer retaliation of any kind because of his or her report. Anyone who believes he or she has suffered retaliation for making a report or for cooperating in an investigation should report their concerns in the same manner described above.
Advisorbox does not discriminate on the basis of an applicant's or employee's color, race, national origin, religion, sex, age, status as a qualified individual with a disability, sexual orientation, or any other basis made unlawful by any applicable law or ordinance.
